Strengthening Schools & Education Systems

The Ohio Deans Compact is a statewide partnership that brings together colleges and universities, school districts, state agencies, and education organizations to strengthen education from preschool through higher education (P20). The Compact believes every student can succeed when educators have the knowledge, skills, and support they need to provide high-quality instruction.

The Compact serves as both a leader and a connector, helping partners work together to improve educator preparation, strengthen literacy, address workforce shortages, advance postsecondary options for all students, and develop innovative solutions that improve learning opportunities and
outcomes for students across Ohio.

Ohio Inclusive Instructional Leadership (Ohio IIL) helps school and district leaders build the knowledge and skills needed to strengthen instruction, particularly in literacy and mathematics, and improve learning outcomes for every student. Through customized professional learning, coaching, and leadership development aligned with Ohio’s Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and associated leadership domains and practices, the project supports educators in creating the environment and implementing the practices that foster student success.

Ohio IIL offers programs designed for principals and assistant principals, district/central office leaders, leadership teams, and coaches, helping them prioritize student learning, foster collaborative cultures, focus on instructional practice, and ensure organizational effectiveness.
