The University of Cincinnati's School of Information Technology offers graduate programs designed for professionals and researchers ready to advance their expertise in technology. The Master of Science in Information Technology prepares students forleadership through advanced technical knowledge and hands-on learning, while the Ph.D. in Information Technology equips future researchers and educators to driveinnovation through applied, human-centered research.
Students can earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree faster through our accelerated programs. These programs allow students to combine the BS in Information Technology with graduate degrees such as a Master of Science in Information Technology, Master of Business Administration, Master of Instructional Design and Technology, or Master of Health Informatics.
Students can build their technology skills through an Information Technology minor or certificates in areas such as foundations in cybersecurity, database management, networking, software development, and web development.
Co-op Experience
AccoStudents in the School of Information Technology gain real-world experience through the University of Cincinnati’s nationally recognized cooperative education (co-op) program. Co-ops allow students to work in professional IT roles while earning their degree, helping them build technical skills, grow their professional network, and gain valuable industry experience before graduation.
IT Expo
Each year, students showcase their work at the IT Expo, a public event held at the end of the spring semester. During the Expo, senior students present their capstone projects, which are real-world technology solutions developed during their two-semester senior design course. The event brings together students, faculty, industry partners, alumni, and the community to celebrate innovation and student achievement.
