Founded in 1925, Arlitt is one of the oldest demonstration preschools in the United States. Arlitt is committed to teacher training and to helping the early childhood education community translate child development theory and research into best practice in the early childhood classroom.

Connie Corkwell wins 2010 Early Childhood Leadership Award
Connie Corkwell, Director of Children’s Programs at Arlitt, wins 2010 Irene Bandy-Hedden Early Childhood Leadership Award. Named for Irene Bandy-Hedden, a pioneer in the field of early education in Ohio and former Associate Superintendent of the Ohio Department of Education, the leadership award recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to the system of early care and education in Ohio. The award in Administrative acknowledges your vision and leadership in supporting all learners: students, children and families within the larger community.
